Assistant Professor in the Department of Didactics, School Organization, and Research Methods at the University of Vigo. Her doctoral thesis and scientific production address issues related to socio-educational inclusion, with her primary research lines focusing on participatory research methodologies, student voice, educational transitions, and social issues that may lead to social exclusion.
She has participated in 1 European project, 4 projects funded by the National R&D&I Plan, 3 regional projects, and 1 local project. She is a member of the CÍES-Uvigo Research Group and the INDEIN Group. She has published articles in indexed scientific journals (recently Sierra-Martínez, Martínez-Figueira, Castro-Pais, 2024; Fiuza-Asorey, Sierra-Martínez, Castro-Pais, and Parrilla-Latas, 2024; Fiuza-Asorey, Losada-Puede, Sierra-Martínez, and Baña, 2023; etc.) and book chapters with publishers indexed in the SPI Ranking.
She began her teaching and research training with a grant from the Subprogram for Research Personnel Training (FPI Grant, Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) at the University of Vigo.
